• Observe meter or display: Run water and confirm that the mechanical meter disc or electronic flow indicator moves. If not, investigate the meter or flow sensor.
• Force a manual regeneration: Start a regeneration and observe whether brine is drawn and discharged. If not, refer to brine draw troubleshooting.
• Monitor salt level: After a successful regeneration, mark the salt level and recheck after several days of normal use.

Warning: Extended operation without regeneration will result in hard water and potential scale build‑up in your plumbing and appliances.
