Possible Causes
Clogged brine refill orifice, Kinked brine refill tubing, Failed brine refill piston or solenoid, Incorrect refill programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close inlet valve before removing tubing.
- Inspect brine tank: Move salt aside to confirm there is no water at the bottom. Add a few gallons of water manually if completely dry.
- Check refill line: Follow the small tube from the Lindsay valve to the brine tank. Straighten kinks and ensure fittings are tight.
- Clean refill orifice: Remove and soak the orifice in vinegar to dissolve mineral buildup.
- Verify refill cycle: Start a manual regeneration and observe the final refill stage. If no water enters the tank, the refill piston/solenoid may need replacement.
