Possible Causes
Worn or cut main piston seals, Debris lodged in drain seat, Misaligned cam not fully closing drain, Cracked drain port in Lindsay valve body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water and power, and relieve pressure before opening the valve.
- Confirm constant flow: Observe the drain hose with the unit in service. Any continuous flow indicates an internal leak.
- Inspect drain seat: Remove the valve end cap and inspect the drain seat area for debris. Clean thoroughly.
- Replace piston/seals: Install a new Lindsay piston and seal kit, lubricating O-rings with silicone grease.
- Check cam alignment: Ensure the cam returns the piston fully to the service position at the end of regeneration.
