• Check outlet and adapter: Plug a lamp or tester into the same outlet to confirm power. Inspect the Lindsay transformer label and ensure the correct voltage and amperage are used.
• Inspect low-voltage plug: Verify the low-voltage plug from the transformer is fully inserted into the control head and not corroded or damaged.
• Test transformer output: Using a multimeter set to AC, measure the output voltage of the transformer (typically 24 VAC; confirm on label). If no or low voltage is present, replace the transformer.
• Board inspection: If the transformer is good, remove the control cover and look for burnt components or a burnt smell on the board. If present, the board must be replaced.
