Display is on but very dim or segments are missing

Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control housing.

Step-by-step checks:

• 1. Adjust viewing angle and lighting: Confirm that the dimness is not just due to angle or ambient light.
• 2. Reseat display cable: Remove the control cover and gently reseat the ribbon cable between the display and main board.
• 3. Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or corrosion on the display board. Allow to dry thoroughly if moisture is present.

When to replace parts: Replace the Marlo display/keypad module if segments are permanently missing or unreadable. If a new display does not fix the issue, replace the Marlo control board.
