Low Salt Level / Brine Concentration Warning
Display shows LoSalt or Low Salt warning; softener may eventually deliver hard water

Possible Causes
Salt level below sensor, Salt bridge preventing salt from contacting water, Faulty salt level sensor (if equipped), Incorrect salt type
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Wear gloves and eye protection when handling salt and reaching into the brine tank.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Check actual salt level: Open the brine tank lid and visually confirm the salt level. Add high-purity solar or pellet salt to at least halfway up the tank if low.
- 2. Break salt bridges: Use a broom handle or plastic rod to gently push down on the salt surface. If you feel a hollow space beneath a hard crust, you have a salt bridge. Carefully break it up so salt falls into the water below.
- 3. Inspect salt level sensor: If your Marlo model has a salt level probe or float, ensure it moves freely and is not encrusted with salt. Clean with warm water and reinstall.
- 4. Clear LoSalt warning: After correcting the salt level, follow the control instructions to clear the LoSalt message or allow it to clear automatically after the next regeneration.
When to replace parts: If the warning persists despite proper salt level and a clean sensor, replace the Marlo salt level sensor/float assembly.
