Possible Causes

Stuck turbine, Debris in meter housing, Broken turbine shaft, Faulty flow sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and place the softener in bypass before removing the meter assembly.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Confirm actual flow: Open a faucet and verify that water is flowing through the plumbing. If the softener is in bypass, the meter will not see flow.
  • 2. Remove and inspect meter: Detach the Marlo meter/turbine housing from the valve outlet. Check for sand, resin beads, or scale preventing the turbine from spinning.
  • 3. Clean and test spin: Rinse the turbine and housing. Spin the turbine gently with your finger; it should rotate freely without sticking.
  • 4. Check wiring: Inspect the flow sensor cable and connector for damage. Reseat the connector on the control board.

When to replace parts: Replace the Marlo turbine/flow sensor assembly if the wheel or shaft is damaged. If wiring and sensor are good but NoFlow persists, the Marlo control board may be defective.
