Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use gloves when breaking salt bridges or reaching into the brine tank.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Confirm regeneration activity: Check the Marlo controller history to see how often regenerations occur. If none, review programming.
- 2. Inspect for salt bridge: Probe the salt bed for hollow spaces and break any bridges so salt contacts water.
- 3. Verify brine draw: During regeneration, observe whether the brine level drops. If not, troubleshoot the brine draw system.
- 4. Check meter function: Ensure the flow meter is registering water use; otherwise, demand regenerations will not trigger.
When to replace parts: Replace the Marlo injector kit or brine valve assembly if brine draw is not occurring. Replace the Marlo turbine/flow sensor if demand mode is not triggering.
