Water leaks from the drain line continuously even when the softener is in service mode

Safety first: Place the Marlo softener in bypass to stop the leak and depressurize the system before opening the valve.

Step-by-step checks:

• 1. Confirm leak path: Verify that water is exiting only from the drain line and not from other fittings.
• 2. Inspect drain line: Ensure the drain line is not restricted or elevated beyond Marlo's specifications, which can cause backpressure and internal leaks.
• 3. Service rotor/seal pack: Remove the valve cover and extract the rotor and seal pack. Inspect for wear, cuts, or embedded debris. Clean the valve body ports.
• 4. Check cam alignment: Ensure the cam is correctly positioned for service mode and that the drive motor fully seats the rotor.

When to replace parts: Replace the Marlo rotor and seal pack kit if seals are worn or damaged. If the valve body is cracked, replace the complete Marlo control valve body.
