Possible Causes
Blocked brine line or injector, Stuck brine safety float in closed position, Air leak in brine line fittings, Incorrect brine line connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and be prepared for water spillage when working on the brine tank.
- Lower water level: Manually remove excess water from the brine tank with a jug or wet vacuum to below the safety float level.
- Check safety float: Remove the brine well cover and ensure the float moves freely. Clean any salt sludge and verify the float drops fully when water level is low.
- Inspect brine line: Remove the brine line from both the valve and the brine well. Blow through to confirm it is clear. Replace if blocked.
- Clean injector: Remove and clean the venturi injector and associated screens in the Monarch valve.
- Reassemble and test: Refit all components, restore power and water, and run a manual regeneration while observing brine draw.
