Display is on but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the display module.

• Clean keypad surface: Wipe the front of the keypad with a slightly damp cloth to remove grime that may be sticking buttons.
• Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control cover and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the PCB.
• Dry moisture: If condensation is visible behind the display, gently dry the area and improve ventilation around the unit.
• Replace keypad module: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the display/keypad module with the correct Monarch part.
