Monarch
Installation / Valve Configuration Error
Softener installed but no water flows through it (no supply to house)

Possible Causes
Inlet and outlet connections reversed, Bypass valves incorrectly set, Closed isolation valves, Blocked inlet strainer from installation debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Know the location of the main stopcock before altering any valves.
- Verify plumbing orientation: Check that the pipe marked 'IN' on the Monarch valve is connected to the mains supply and 'OUT' to the house. Reverse connections can block flow.
- Check bypass set: Ensure the inlet and outlet valves are open and the bypass valve is closed.
- Open isolation valves: Confirm any additional service valves installed by the plumber are fully open.
- Clean inlet strainer: If debris from installation has blocked the strainer, remove and clean it as per E01.
