How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and isolate water if necessary to prevent continuous drain flow.
- Power reset: Turn off power for several minutes, then restore and see if the valve re-homes to service.
- Inspect valve movement: Remove the cover and observe the cam and motor when attempting to move between cycles. If they stall, check for obstructions.
- Check position switch: Ensure the microswitch or encoder that senses valve position is correctly aligned and connected.
- Manual advance: Some Monarch valves allow manual rotation of the cam to move to service position. Use this only as a temporary measure and schedule a full repair.
