Brine tank fills with water and overflows or water level is excessively high after regeneration.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass. Be prepared for water and brine spillage; wear gloves and eye protection.

• Shut off overflow: If the brine tank is actively overflowing, remove excess water with a wet/dry vacuum or bucket to prevent floor damage.
• Inspect brine valve and air check: Remove the brine well cover and pull out the brine valve/air check assembly. Check for salt sludge, debris, or a stuck check ball. Clean thoroughly and ensure the ball moves freely and seats properly.
• Check brine line connections: Inspect the brine line from the valve to the brine well for cracks, loose fittings, or leaks that could prevent proper suction and shutoff. Replace damaged tubing or fittings.
• Examine drain line: Ensure the drain line is not kinked, elevated too high, or blocked. A clogged drain can cause water to back up into the brine tank. Clear any obstructions and verify free flow during backwash.
• Clean venturi assembly: Remove and clean the venturi nozzle and throat and check the gasket. A damaged gasket can allow continuous water flow into the brine tank. Replace the venturi gasket kit if needed.
• Test regeneration: After reassembly, run a manual regeneration and watch the brine tank during refill and after the cycle ends. The water level should stop at the normal height and not continue to rise.
