Salt Level Sensor Fault
E14 error and the unit cannot detect salt level (on models with electronic salt sensor)

Possible Causes
Disconnected salt sensor cable, Corroded salt probe, Sensor covered by salt bridge, Failed salt sensor module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before handling any sensor wiring. Wear gloves when working inside the brine tank.
- Locate salt sensor: On Nobel models with this feature, the salt level sensor is usually mounted in the brine well or side of the brine tank with a cable leading to the control head.
- Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly connected to the control board. Inspect the cable for cuts or crushed sections.
- Inspect and clean probe: Remove the sensor from the tank. If it is coated with heavy salt or rust, rinse it in warm water and gently scrub with a soft brush. Do not bend or scratch the probe surfaces.
- Break salt bridge: If a hard crust (salt bridge) has formed above the sensor, carefully break it with a broom handle or similar tool, taking care not to damage the tank. Remove loose chunks of salt.
- Reset alarm: Reinstall the sensor, restore power, and clear the E14 alarm via the control panel. Verify that the displayed salt level is reasonable.
If E14 persists with a clean, properly connected sensor, the sensor or control board input may be defective and require replacement.
