Nobel
Regeneration Scheduling / Trigger Fault
Softener does not regenerate at night as scheduled (no error code, clock appears correct)

Possible Causes
Regeneration time set incorrectly, Metered mode with low usage, Regeneration inhibited by settings (e.g., day override), Power interruptions resetting schedule
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No disassembly required for this procedure.
- Confirm time of day: Verify the Nobel control's clock matches actual time, including AM/PM. Adjust if necessary.
- Check regeneration mode: Enter the installer menu and confirm whether the unit is set to time‑clock or metered regeneration. In metered mode, low water usage may delay regeneration.
- Review regen time: Ensure the programmed regeneration time (e.g., 2:00 AM) is suitable and not set to a time when power is routinely off.
- Check day override: Some models allow a maximum number of days between regenerations. Ensure this is not set excessively high.
- Manual test: Start a manual regeneration to confirm the valve can cycle through all stages. If manual regen works but automatic does not, the programming should be reviewed or the control board may need service.
