How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the softener before servicing the control panel.

  • 1. Clean surface: Wipe the keypad with a slightly damp cloth to remove grime. Do not allow water to enter the control.
  • 2. Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control cover and carefully reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control board.
  • 3. Test each button: With power restored, test all buttons. If some remain unresponsive, the keypad membrane is likely failing.
  • 4. Replace keypad/control: Replace the keypad membrane or the entire electronic control board assembly if they are integrated.
