Possible Causes
Clogged brine refill flow control, Stuck brine valve, Kinked brine line, Defective injector assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass. Wear gloves and eye protection when working around salt and brine.
- 1. Check brine line: Inspect the brine line from the valve to the brine tank for kinks, pinches, or leaks. Straighten or replace as needed.
- 2. Inspect brine valve: Remove the brine valve assembly from the control valve. Check for salt crystals, debris, or iron buildup preventing movement. Clean with warm water and a soft brush.
- 3. Clean refill flow control: Locate the brine refill flow control (small orifice or button) in the valve. Remove and flush it under running water to clear any blockage.
- 4. Check injector assembly: Remove the injector and injector screen. Clean both thoroughly to ensure proper suction and refill performance.
- 5. Test refill: Reassemble, restore power and water, and initiate a manual regeneration. Observe the brine tank during the refill stage to confirm water enters. If Err08 persists, replace the brine valve assembly or injector assembly as needed.
