Possible Causes
Rotor & disc not sealing, Debris under rotor, Misaligned cam, Control board stuck in regeneration mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass to stop water flow to drain.
- 1. Verify cycle status: Check the display to see if the unit believes it is in a regeneration step. If so, attempt to advance to the end of the cycle using the manual advance function.
- 2. Inspect rotor & disc: Remove the valve cover and rotor & disc. Clean any debris from the sealing surfaces and valve body ports.
- 3. Check cam and motor: Ensure the drive cam is correctly positioned and the motor fully indexes the valve to the service position. Realign if necessary.
- 4. Replace worn parts: If the rotor or seals are worn, install a new rotor & disc kit and seal & spacer kit.
- 5. Control board check: If the valve is mechanically in service but the control continues to call for regeneration, replace the electronic control board.
