• 1. Confirm actual flow: Check the drain line and listen for water movement. Verify that no toilets are running and no fixtures are dripping.
• 2. Inspect turbine: Remove and clean the turbine/flow sensor. Debris can cause false pulses.
• 3. Check plumbing for leaks: Inspect visible piping and fixtures downstream of the softener for slow leaks that could trigger the alarm.
• 4. Reset alarm: Clear the alarm through the control menu and monitor. If it recurs with no real flow, replace the turbine/flow sensor assembly.
• 5. Control replacement: If a new sensor does not resolve false alarms, the electronic control board may require replacement.
