Possible Causes
Failed O-rings or seals, Cracked valve body, Loose plumbing fittings, Over-tightened fittings causing stress cracks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water supply, place the unit in bypass, and depressurize by opening a nearby faucet before disassembly.
- 1. Identify leak point: Dry the area and observe where water emerges: around fittings, seam of valve body, or rotor cover.
- 2. Tighten fittings: Gently snug any loose inlet/outlet fittings, avoiding over-tightening plastic threads.
- 3. Replace O-rings: If leaking at plumbing connections, replace the inlet/outlet O-rings. If leaking at the rotor cover, install a new seal & spacer kit and rotor cover O-ring.
- 4. Inspect valve body: If cracks are visible, replace the valve body assembly.
