Possible Causes

Salt setting too high, Frequent regenerations due to misprogramming, Internal valve leak causing repeated cycles, Brine valve leaking during service

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Adjust programming carefully to avoid under-softening.

  • 1. Review salt setting: Check the salt dose per regeneration and adjust to the recommended level for your hardness and capacity.
  • 2. Check regeneration frequency: Ensure the unit is not set to regenerate every day unnecessarily. Adjust capacity and reserve to match actual usage.
  • 3. Inspect for internal leaks: Listen for water at the drain during service. If present, service the rotor & disc kit and seal & spacer kit.
  • 4. Check brine valve: Ensure the brine valve assembly is not leaking water into the brine tank during service, which can waste salt.
