High Salt Consumption
Softener uses excessive salt compared to expected consumption

Possible Causes
Salt setting too high, Frequent regenerations due to misprogramming, Internal valve leak causing repeated cycles, Brine valve leaking during service
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Adjust programming carefully to avoid under-softening.
- 1. Review salt setting: Check the salt dose per regeneration and adjust to the recommended level for your hardness and capacity.
- 2. Check regeneration frequency: Ensure the unit is not set to regenerate every day unnecessarily. Adjust capacity and reserve to match actual usage.
- 3. Inspect for internal leaks: Listen for water at the drain during service. If present, service the rotor & disc kit and seal & spacer kit.
- 4. Check brine valve: Ensure the brine valve assembly is not leaking water into the brine tank during service, which can waste salt.
