E06 error and display is blank or flickering intermittently

Safety first: Disconnect the power adapter from the wall before inspecting wiring. Do not open the transformer casing.

• 1. Verify correct adapter: Confirm the power adapter matches the voltage and amperage specified on the Rayne softener label. Using the wrong adapter can cause E06.
• 2. Inspect power cord and plug: Check for cuts, frays, or loose prongs. Replace the adapter if damaged.
• 3. Check low-voltage connector: At the control head, ensure the low-voltage plug from the transformer is fully inserted and not corroded.
• 4. Test outlet: Plug a lamp or tester into the same outlet to confirm it has power and is not controlled by a switch.

When to call a technician: If a known-good transformer does not resolve the issue, the internal power supply circuitry on the control board may be faulty and should be replaced by a professional.
