Possible Causes
Clogged venturi injector in SoftPro valve, Blocked injector screen, Air leak in brine line, Stuck brine valve or float assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve before opening the valve head. Brine is salty and can irritate skin; wear gloves and eye protection.
- 1. Check brine level movement: Start a manual regeneration and watch the brine tank. During brine draw, the brine level should slowly drop. If it does not, proceed to injector checks.
- 2. Clean injector and screen: Shut off water and relieve pressure. On the SoftPro control valve, locate the injector cover (often on the side or top). Remove the cover, injector nozzle, and throat, and the small screen. Soak parts in warm water and gently clean away iron or sediment. Do not enlarge any orifices.
- 3. Inspect brine line and fittings: Check the brine line from the valve to the brine tank for kinks, air leaks, or loose fittings. Tighten compression nuts and replace cracked tubing.
- 4. Check brine float assembly: Open the brine well (the tube inside the brine tank). Ensure the safety float moves freely up and down and is not stuck with salt or debris. Clean as needed.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Reinstall injector components, restore water, and run another regeneration. If E07 persists, the internal brine valve or piston assembly may need replacement.
