Possible Causes
Defective SoftPro power adapter, Loose power connector at control head, Overloaded circuit or frequent brownouts, Internal board voltage regulator failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work with dry hands when handling electrical plugs. Do not open the power adapter casing.
- 1. Check outlet: Plug a lamp or small appliance into the same outlet to confirm it has stable power. Avoid using switched or GFCI outlets that may trip.
- 2. Inspect adapter and cord: Ensure the SoftPro power adapter is firmly plugged into the outlet and the low-voltage plug is fully inserted into the control head. Look for cuts or damage in the cord.
- 3. Test adapter output: If you have a multimeter, measure the adapter output and compare to the rated voltage on its label. Replace the adapter if it is out of spec.
- 4. Power cycle: Unplug the adapter for 5 minutes, then reconnect. If E19 returns immediately with a known-good adapter, the control board's internal power circuitry may be faulty.
- 5. Replace control board: Install a new SoftPro control board if the power supply is confirmed good and E19 persists.
