Possible Causes
Clogged brine line, Stuck brine float in closed position, Clogged injector or brine valve, Air leak preventing proper siphon
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and place it in bypass. Wear gloves when handling brine.
- 1. Remove excess brine: Use a small pump or container to lower the brine level so you can access components.
- 2. Inspect brine float: Remove the brine well cover and lift out the float assembly. Ensure it moves freely and that the bottom valve opens when the float is down. Clean salt buildup.
- 3. Check brine line: Disconnect the brine line at the valve and float assembly. Blow through the tubing to confirm it is clear. Replace if blocked or cracked.
- 4. Clean injector and brine valve: As with injector maintenance, remove and clean the SoftPro injector and screen. Inspect the internal brine valve for debris.
- 5. Test brine draw: Restore connections, water, and power. Start a manual regeneration and confirm that the brine level drops during the brine draw stage.
