Steps:

• 1. Confirm mode: Ensure the Sterling control is set to metered or time-clock mode, not OFF.
• 2. Test meter: Run water and confirm the display shows flow and remaining capacity decreasing.
• 3. Check schedule: Verify a regeneration time is programmed and that the unit is not in vacation or bypass mode.
• 4. Replace flow meter or board: If usage is not tracked, replace the flow meter. If usage is tracked but no regen occurs, the main control board may be defective.
