Possible Causes

Blocked venturi injector in Tapworks valve, Clogged brine line, Air leak at brine line fittings, Stuck brine valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and close the inlet valve before opening the valve body. Wear gloves when handling salty components.

  • Check brine level change: Start a manual regeneration and observe the brine tank. During brine draw, the water level should drop. If it does not, proceed with cleaning.
  • Clean the injector: Remove the injector/venturi assembly from the Tapworks valve (usually under a cap). Disassemble and soak parts in warm water with a little vinegar to dissolve scale. Use a soft brush or toothpick to clear small orifices—do not enlarge them.
  • Inspect brine line: Follow the brine hose from the valve to the brine well. Check for kinks, blockages, or salt buildup. Flush the line with warm water.
  • Check for air leaks: Ensure all hose clamps and push‑fit connectors are tight. Air leaks will prevent proper suction.
  • Test brine valve: Manually move the brine valve (if accessible) to ensure it is not stuck. Clean or replace if it does not move freely.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit all parts, restore water and power, and run another regeneration. If E11 returns, replace the injector assembly or the complete Tapworks valve head.
