Stalled Tapworks valve motor, Failing transformer, Loose mounting causing vibration, Motor energized continuously due to control fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the motor or transformer. Components may be hot.
- Identify noise source: Remove the cover and listen carefully to determine whether the noise comes from the motor or transformer.
- Check motor movement: If the motor hums but the cam does not turn, disconnect power immediately to avoid burning out the motor. Inspect for mechanical jams and clear them.
- Tighten mounts: Ensure the transformer and motor are firmly secured to reduce vibration noise.
- Replace faulty part: If the transformer buzzes loudly and becomes very hot, replace the Tapworks transformer. If the motor is noisy and does not rotate freely, replace the valve motor.
