Possible Causes

Clogged injector/venturi, Stuck brine float in open position, Leaking brine line connection, Incorrect refill setting

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and wear gloves. Salt water can irritate skin.

  • Manually remove excess brine: Use a small pump or container to remove excess water from the brine tank until the level is just above the grid or bottom.
  • Clean injector/venturi: Remove and clean the brine injector/venturi and screens in the control valve. Blockages here prevent proper brine draw.
  • Check brine float: Remove the brine float assembly and ensure it moves freely. Clean any salt buildup and verify the safety float shuts off refill at the correct height.
  • Inspect brine line: Check for air leaks or loose fittings that could prevent suction. Tighten or replace fittings as needed.
  • Verify refill time: Confirm the brine refill time is set correctly in the programming. Reduce it if it was set too high.
