Possible Causes
Blocked refill port, Stuck brine valve closed, Incorrect refill time set to zero, Kinked brine line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control head or brine connections.
- Check programming: Verify that the brine refill time is not set to zero. Adjust to Tier1-recommended value for your salt dosage.
- Inspect brine line: Ensure the brine line from the control valve to the brine tank is not kinked, pinched, or blocked.
- Check refill port: Remove the injector/venturi housing and inspect the refill port and associated passages for blockages. Clean thoroughly.
- Test refill function: Start a manual regeneration and observe during the refill stage. You should see water entering the brine tank. If not, the internal brine valve may be stuck and the injector/valve assembly may need replacement.
