How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control head cover.
- Stable power: Plug the transformer into a known-good outlet. Avoid using extension cords or switched outlets.
- Factory reset: Enter the installer menu and perform a full factory reset if available. Re-enter hardness, capacity, and time settings.
- Test keypad: Confirm each button responds correctly when navigating menus. If some keys do not respond, the keypad membrane may be defective.
- Attempt reprogramming: After reset, change one setting at a time and exit the menu. Power cycle the unit and verify if the change is retained.
- Replace control board: If settings will not save or E08 persists, replace the electronic control board / timer assembly. Transfer any jumper or programming plugs as specified by Tier1.
