Possible Causes
Faulty valve motor, Jammed cam or piston, Control board timing fault, Position switch failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Place the unit in BYPASS to restore water to the home if needed. Unplug before opening the control head.
- Attempt manual advance: Press the REGEN or ADVANCE button to step through each cycle position. If the valve does not move, suspect a motor or mechanical issue.
- Inspect drive components: Remove the cover and check the motor, gears, and cam for damage or obstructions.
- Check position switch: Verify the position switch or encoder is properly aligned and connected. Replace if it does not change state as the cam moves.
- Replace motor or board: If the motor does not run when commanded, test and replace the valve motor. If a good motor will not run, replace the control board.
