Possible Causes
Hardness set too high, Capacity set too low, Flow meter not registering correctly, Excessive reserve setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No special hazards for programming changes; do not open live electrical parts.
- Verify actual hardness: Test your water hardness with a reliable test kit or lab report. Compare to the programmed hardness.
- Adjust settings: Enter the installer menu and set hardness and capacity according to Tier1 guidelines for your resin volume and household usage.
- Check flow meter operation: Run water at a faucet and confirm the display shows flow and counts down remaining capacity. If not, see flow meter troubleshooting.
- Optimize reserve: Reduce the reserve capacity or safety factor if it is set excessively high, while still ensuring you do not run out of soft water.
