How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Shut off water and unplug the unit. Depressurize by opening a faucet before removing the injector or brine line.
- Check brine line: Inspect the brine line from the valve to the brine tank for kinks, cracks, or blockages. Replace if damaged.
- Clean injector/venturi: Remove the injector cap on the control valve. Take out the injector nozzle and throat and soak them in vinegar or a manufacturer-approved cleaner to remove iron and scale. Rinse thoroughly and reinstall.
- Inspect brine float assembly: Remove the brine well cover and ensure the float moves freely up and down. Clean any salt or iron buildup. Verify the air check at the bottom is not stuck closed.
- Check for air leaks: Ensure all brine line connections are tight. Air leaks can prevent proper brine draw and trigger brine errors.
- Run a manual regeneration: After cleaning and reassembly, start a manual regeneration and confirm that brine is drawn and refilled correctly.
