ERR POWER
US Water Systems
Power Supply / Low Voltage Fault
Display shows ERR POWER or unit repeatedly resets after brief outages

Possible Causes
Defective 24 VAC transformer, Loose power connector, Shared circuit with heavy loads causing voltage dips, Internal board power regulator failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Work only on the low-voltage side. Do not open the transformer housing. If unsure, contact an electrician.
- Check outlet: Plug a lamp or small device into the same outlet to verify stable power. Avoid using switched or GFCI outlets that may trip.
- Test transformer output: Use a multimeter to measure AC voltage at the transformer plug going into the control head. It should match the rating on the label (commonly 24 VAC). Replace the transformer if voltage is low or intermittent.
- Inspect connectors: Ensure the transformer plug is fully inserted into the control head and not loose.
- Isolate the circuit: If the softener shares a circuit with large motors (well pump, HVAC), consider moving it to a more stable circuit to avoid voltage dips.
- Replace control board: If transformer output is good but ERR POWER persists, the internal power regulation on the board may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
