How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working with any electrical sensor wiring.
- Access the sensor: Open the brine tank lid and locate the salt level sensor (float or electronic probe) in the brine well.
- Clean the sensor: Remove the sensor and rinse with warm water to dissolve salt buildup. Gently scrub with a soft brush if needed. Do not use abrasive tools.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor cable to the control head. Check for cuts, kinks, or loose connectors. Reseat the connector on the control board.
- Test operation: Reinstall the sensor and restore power. If the error persists, the sensor may be defective and should be replaced with the correct US Water Systems salt sensor.
