Softener display is blank; unit appears completely dead

Safety: Work only on low-voltage connections; do not open the transformer.

• Check power source: Verify the outlet has power by plugging in another device.
• Inspect transformer: Ensure the transformer is plugged into both the outlet and the control head. Check for damage to the cord.
• Test transformer output: Use a multimeter to measure AC voltage at the transformer plug. Replace if no or low voltage is present.
• Replace control board: If the transformer is good and properly connected but the display remains blank, the control board is likely failed and should be replaced.
