Possible Causes
Incorrect time or hardness settings, Meter not registering flow, Regeneration mode set to OFF, Control board failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No plumbing work is required for basic checks. Unplug before removing the control cover.
- Check display settings: Verify the current time, hardness, capacity, and regeneration mode (metered vs. time clock) are set correctly on the US Water Systems controller.
- Confirm meter operation: Open a faucet and check that the display shows flow or counts down remaining capacity. If not, troubleshoot the flow meter (see NO FLOW/ERR3).
- Force a manual regeneration: Use the REGEN or MANUAL button to start a cycle. If the valve does not move at all, suspect a motor or board issue.
- Inspect wiring and motor: Remove the cover and ensure the motor harness is connected. If the motor does not run during a manual regen and has proper voltage, replace the drive motor. If no voltage is present, replace the control board.
