Brine tank overfills with water after regeneration

Safety first: Disconnect power and avoid spilling brine on electrical components.

• Inspect float assembly: Remove the brine well cover and check that the float moves freely and shuts off water at the correct level. Clean any salt buildup.
• Check brine valve: Inspect the brine valve in the control head for debris or wear that could prevent proper shutoff. Clean or replace as needed.
• Verify refill settings: In the installer menu, confirm that the brine refill time or volume is set according to the Viessmann specification for your model.
• Prevent siphoning: Ensure the drain line has an air gap and is not submerged in standing water, which can cause back-siphoning into the brine tank.
