Safety first: Immediately disconnect power. Do not continue to operate the unit until inspected.

• Visual inspection: After allowing components to cool, remove the control cover and look for discolored, melted, or burnt components.
• Check wiring: Inspect connectors for signs of overheating or arcing. Tighten or replace as needed.
• Smell test: Carefully identify whether the smell comes from the transformer, motor, or board.
• Replace faulty part: Replace the Viessmann power transformer, valve motor, or control board as indicated by inspection. If unsure, contact a qualified technician.
