Possible Causes
Main water supply turned off, Blocked inlet valve filter screen, Kinked or crushed inlet hose, Faulty inlet valve coil on Water2Buy softener head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the mains water supply feeding the softener and disconnect the power adapter before removing hoses or covers.
- Check household water supply: Ensure the main stopcock and any isolation valves before the Water2Buy softener are fully open.
- Inspect inlet hose: Verify the flexible inlet hose to the softener head is not kinked, crushed, or twisted. Straighten or re-route as needed.
- Clean inlet filter screen: At the softener inlet connection, remove the hose and gently pull out the small mesh filter (if fitted). Rinse under running water to remove debris, then reinstall.
- Check pressure: If you have a pressure gauge, confirm that incoming pressure meets Water2Buy’s minimum requirement (typically around 1.5–2 bar). Low pressure may require a booster pump.
- Power reset: Reconnect power, open the inlet valve, and attempt to start a manual regeneration from the control panel. If E1 returns immediately, the inlet valve coil or control head may be faulty.
- Do not disassemble the valve body: If the valve coil is suspected faulty, replace the complete inlet valve assembly or full control head rather than attempting internal repairs.
