How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug power and close the inlet valve. Use a wet/dry vacuum or manual pump to remove excess water from the brine tank before working.
- Inspect brine float: Remove the brine well cover and lift out the float/air check assembly. Check that it moves freely and is not encrusted with salt. Clean with warm water and reassemble.
- Check refill time: In the controller settings, verify that the brine refill time matches the specification for your Water2Buy model. Reduce if it has been accidentally increased.
- Inspect brine valve: If accessible, check the brine refill valve plunger and O-rings in the valve head for debris or wear. Clean and lubricate with silicone grease.
- Monitor next regeneration: After reassembly, run a manual regeneration and watch the refill stage. The water level should rise to just above the air check and stop.
