Possible Causes
Debris stuck in valve rotor, Torn or mis-seated rotor seal in Water2Buy head, Cracked valve body, Control board stuck in regeneration mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately place the softener in bypass to stop water waste, then disconnect power.
- Inspect drain flow: Confirm that water is flowing from the drain hose even when the display shows service mode.
- Remove valve head cover: With water off and pressure relieved, remove the control cover and inspect the rotor and seal pack for visible damage or debris.
- Clean rotor area: Carefully remove any foreign material. Do not scratch sealing surfaces.
- Check seal pack: If the rotor seal pack is torn or deformed, replace it with the correct Water2Buy seal kit.
- Controller reset: After mechanical checks, reset the controller and ensure it is in service mode. Restore water and check that drain flow has stopped.
- If leak persists: Replace the entire valve head, as a cracked body or internal damage may be present.
