Possible Causes

Blocked drain hose, Blocked brine line or brine elbow, Kinked drain hose, Clogged flow control or injector in Water2Buy valve head

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the power adapter and close the inlet valve before working on hoses. Have towels or a tray ready for water spillage.

  • Inspect drain hose: Follow the drain hose from the softener to the standpipe or drain. Remove kinks, sharp bends, or elevation above the recommended height. Ensure the end is not submerged or blocked.
  • Flush the drain line: Disconnect the drain hose at the softener head and run water through it with a garden hose or tap to clear any salt or iron buildup.
  • Check brine line: Remove the brine line from the brine tank lid and from the valve head. Blow through it to confirm it is clear. Rinse if restricted.
  • Clean injector/flow control: On the Water2Buy control head, locate the injector/venturi and flow control (refer to the service manual). Remove carefully, soak in warm water with a little vinegar, and scrub with a soft brush to remove deposits. Rinse thoroughly and reinstall.
  • Restart regeneration: Restore water and power, then initiate a manual regeneration. Monitor the drain flow; a steady stream should be visible during backwash and rinse stages.
  • If E2 persists: The internal valve rotor or seals may be damaged. Contact a technician or replace the complete valve head.
