How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the power adapter before removing the front panel.
- Visual inspection: Remove the control cover and inspect the keypad ribbon cable connection to the main PCB. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water tracks on the inside of the display window. Dry thoroughly and improve sealing if the unit is installed in a very damp location.
- Test buttons: After drying and reseating cables, reconnect power and test each button. If some or all buttons remain unresponsive, the keypad membrane is likely faulty.
- Replace keypad/front panel: Order the correct Water2Buy front panel or full control head. Transfer settings from the old unit if possible, or reprogram according to the manual.
- Prevent recurrence: Ensure the softener is not directly exposed to splashing water or steam and that the control cover is properly sealed.
