Possible Causes
Incorrect hardness setting, Incorrect capacity setting, Faulty flow meter calibration, Control board miscalculation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal water work is required for programming, but unplug the unit if removing covers.
- Verify hardness: Test your incoming water hardness with a test kit or obtain data from your water supplier. Enter the correct hardness value into the Water2Buy controller.
- Check capacity setting: Confirm that the resin volume and capacity (e.g. 10L, 20L, 30L) are correctly set for your specific Water2Buy model.
- Reset controller: Perform a factory reset if available in the menu, then re-enter all parameters. This can clear corrupted settings.
- Monitor usage: Over several days, compare actual water usage to the controller’s recorded usage. If readings are clearly wrong, the flow meter or PCB may be defective.
- Replace faulty component: If recalibration fails, replace the flow meter assembly first. If the issue persists, replace the control PCB or full head.
