• Check salt level and type: Ensure the brine tank contains the correct Water2Buy-compatible tablet or block salt and that the level is above the water line.
• Break salt bridges: Use a broom handle to gently push down through the salt. If you feel a hollow space, break up the crust so salt falls into the water.
• Verify regeneration frequency: Confirm that the regeneration interval or metered capacity is appropriate for your household usage and hardness. Increase frequency if necessary.
• Resin age and condition: If the system is older than 7–10 years or has seen high iron/chlorine, consider replacing the resin media with a Water2Buy-compatible resin kit.
• Test hardness: After a full regeneration, test water hardness at a softened tap. If still hard, internal bypass leakage or resin failure is likely and may require valve head or resin tank service.
