Possible Causes
Damaged O-ring between valve head and resin tank, Cracked valve body, Loose head-to-tank connection, Freeze damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately close the inlet valve and place the unit in bypass. Disconnect power.
- Dry and inspect: Wipe the area dry and observe where water reappears to pinpoint the leak source.
- Check head nut: If the valve head screws onto the tank, gently tighten the retaining nut by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Inspect for cracks: Look for visible cracks in the plastic valve body. If present, the head must be replaced.
- Replace O-ring: If the leak is at the tank-to-head joint, remove the head (after depressurizing and draining) and replace the large tank O-ring with a Water2Buy-compatible seal, lubricated with silicone grease.
- Refill and test: Reassemble, slowly repressurize, and check for leaks.
