Possible Causes
Failed memory on control board, Intermittent power supply from transformer, Internal control firmware corruption
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before handling the control board.
- Verify power supply: Check that the transformer is securely plugged into a live outlet and the low-voltage plug is firmly connected to the control board.
- Power cycle: Unplug the transformer for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in. Reprogram the time and hardness settings according to the WaterBoss manual.
- Check for voltage drops: If the outlet is on a switched circuit or power strip, move the transformer to a dedicated, unswitched outlet.
- If E6 persists: The control board memory is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
